Chad A. Pennington, 38, of Tierra Bonita, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014. Visitation will be 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, May 30, 2014, 10:00 AM, at First Baptist Church with Tony Pennington officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Chad A. Pennington was born September 29, 1975 in Artesia, NM to Milton D. and Kay (Hall) Pennington. He graduated from Carlsbad in 1994. Chad worked in the oilfield for 20 years and for the past 3 years he worked as a consultant for Concho. On October 8, 2013 he married Olga Lityaykina in Carlsbad. Chad loved to hunt and shooting guns. He also enjoyed driving around and off-roading. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: L. V. Pennington, T. W. Hall; grandmother, Eula Hall and cousin, Eldon Pennington. Survivors are his wife, Olga Pennington of Carlsbad, NM; daughters: Jordan Pennington of Carlsbad, NM, Britney Pennington of Carlsbad, NM; step-daughter, Marina Melnik of Russia; daughter (on-the-way), Chloe Pennington; parents: Milton D. and Kay Pennington of Artesia, NM; brothers: Milton C. Pennington and wife, Cheryl of Artesia, NM, Elton Pennington of Carlsbad, NM, Brandon Pennington and wife, Ashlee of Surprise, AZ, David Pennington and wife, Emily of Carlsbad, NM; grandmother, Mildred Pennington of Carlsbad, NM; nephew, Will Pennington; nieces: Tamatha McCauley and husband, Riley, Kaitlin Pennington, Katy Kocsmar, Kaylee Pennington, Charity Pennington, Faith Pennington, Abi Pennington, Hannah Pennington; great-niece: DeLynn McCauley; great-nephew, Kyle McCauley and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Pallbearers will be Milton C. Pennington, Elton Pennington, Brandon Pennington, David Pennington, David Valderez, Wayne Heard, Nick Pond and Bobby Whinery.
