Celia "Sally" Madrid

Celia “Sally” Madrid, 65, of Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021, in Phoenix, AZ. Sally was born on June 2, 1956, in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Benny and Lola Madrid.

Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service has been scheduled for 11:00AM Saturday, 18, 2021, at Word of Life Church with Pastor Jason Shirley officiating. Interment will follow at the Loving Cemetery in Loving, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Sally was a kind and loving person who always had a great work ethic. She got along with everyone, and had the best smile. Her warm and friendly disposition allowed to care for others in any way they needed. Sally loved her family dearly, and cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed arguing with her granddog Lala. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, and Sally’s tamales were well known amongst her friends and family. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten.

Sally was preceded in death by father, Benny Madrid; mother, Lola Madrid; and brother, Ruben Madrid.

Sally is survived by her son Kenneth Rios and wife, Onetia of Carlsbad, NM; son, Kodie Rios and Tanisha Hargrove of Carlsbad, NM; four grandchildren: Kamrien Rios, Kamille Rios, Kaliyah Rios, and Kaleb Rios; brother, Pablo Madrid of Loving, NM; brother, Ralph Madrid of Lovington, NM; sister, Sylvia Madrid of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Benny Madrid of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Veva Gomez of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Raul Madrid of Las Cruces, NM; brother, Michael Madrid of Phoenix, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews.
