Catherine Olson

Catherine Olson, 62, of Elgin Road, Carlsbad, NM, passed away September 16, 2022 at her home.  Cremation has taken place and a memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, September 30, 2022 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel.

Catherine was born May 13, 1960 in El Paso, Texas to Hugh and Irene (Akre) Olson.  She graduated from Eastwood High School in El Paso in 1978.  Cathy married Robert Helton and moved to Carlsbad in 1991.  She worked as a pharmacist for Carlsbad Medical Center 17 years and also La Tienda Pharmacy several years.  Cathy loved animals, horseback riding and working around her home.  She was preceded in death by her father, Hugh Floyd Olson.

Survivors are her husband, Robert Helton; mother, Irene Olson; sister, Terry Olson; brothers: Eric Olson and Tony Olson.
