Cassidy Wages, 34, of Ash Road, Loving, NM, passed away February 10, 2014 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Visitation will be 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Vigil is scheduled for Thursday, February 13, 2014, 7:00 PM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Loving, NM. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Friday, February 14, 2014, 2:00 PM, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Loving, NM, with Father Valentine Jankowski, OFM, Conv. officiating. Interment will follow in Loving Cemetery, Loving, New Mexico. Carlsbad Veterans Honor Guard will provide military honors. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Cassidy Wages was born August 26, 1979 in Roswell, NM to Philip Glen and Carolyn (Nunez) Wages. He graduated from Loving High School in 1998. Cassidy served his country in the US Marines from 1998 to 2002 where he served in Afghanistan. He worked for Mosaic Potash during the past 7 years. Cassidy enjoyed roping, hunting, camping and spending time with his boys. He was preceded in death by his father, Philip Glen Wages; Grandma Lucinda Nunez and Grandpa Ramon Nunez. Survivors are Audry Hernandez of Loving, NM; three sons: Gavyn Wages of Loving, NM, Garrett Wages of Loving, NM, Tyler Wages of Carlsbad, NM; mother, Carolyn Wages of Loving, NM; brother, Cody Wages of Carlsbad, NM; sister, Danna McKibben of Loving, NM; father and mother-in-law, Varo and Velma Hernandez of Loving, NM; brothers-in-law: Junior Hernandez and wife, Jennifer, Patrick Hernandez and wife, Charlin; sister-in-law, Adrianne Granger and husband, Rudy and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers will be Junior Hernandez, Patrick Hernandez, Rudy Granger, Joe Bob Nunez, Bobby Palamino and Eddie Armendariz. Honorary pallbearers are all aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
