Casey Hedrick, 22, of Iris Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Monday, October 7, 2013 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Visitation will be 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Friday, October 11, 2013 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Graveside Service is scheduled for Saturday, October 12, 2013, 10:00 AM, at Bounds Cemetery with Pastor Jimmy Tarvin officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Casey Hedrick was born February 7, 1991 to Justin and Lisa (Latimer) Hedrick in Austin, Texas. He was a life long resident of Carlsbad. On September 30, 2013 he married the love of his life, Chelsie Castillo. They had been together for 8 years. Casey worked for Madron Services Inc. for four years. He loved music and art including tattooing. Casey was passionate about his family. He was very athletic, receiving nicknames of Tank in soccer and Moose in football. He was preceded in death by grandparents: Will Roger Lepchenski and Gloria Jeanie Lepchenski; uncle, John Clayton Fox; niece, Jade Holman; cousin, Brandon Bounds and grandfather, David Latimer. Survivors are his wife, Chelsie Hedrick of Carlsbad, NM; two sons: Casey Wyatt Hedrick of Carlsbad, NM, Colton Ryder Hedrick of Carlsbad, NM; mother, Lisa Hedrick of Carlsbad, NM; father, Justin Hedrick of Carlsbad, NM; siblings: Johnny Ray Brazeal of Carlsbad, NM, Laura Ann Brazeal of Carlsbad, NM, Larry Clay Brazeal of Carlsbad, NM; half-sister, Rebecca Hedrick of Arizona; grandmother, Sandra Barnes of Carlsbad, NM; grandfather, Gene Barnes of Carlsbad, NM and numerous extended family and friends.
