Carolyn Taylor

Carolyn Taylor, 70, of Harmon Lane, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Friday, March 20, 2015 at her home. There will be no visitation; cremation has taken place. A graveside service is scheduled for Thursday, March 26, 2015, 10:00 AM, at Sunset Gardens Memorial Park with Pastor Jimmy Tarvin officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Carolyn Taylor was born April 7, 1944 in Magnum, Oklahoma to Clovis "Curly" and Millie (Bannister) Simmons. She worked for Carlsbad Municipal Schools in the cafeteria at P.R. Leyva for many years. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Taylor; son, Curtis Taylor; daughter, Laura Taylor and brother, Freddie Simmons. Survivors are her sons: John Wayne Taylor of Carlsbad, NM, Kenny Taylor of Carlsbad, NM, Robert Phillips of Carlsbad, NM; grandchildren: Josh, Matthew, Jonathan, Joey, Laura, McKenzie, Gavin; great-grandson, Caleb and brother, Joe Simmons.
