Carolyn Jo Morgan

Carolyn Jo Morgan, 80, of Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away Friday, October 22, 2021, at her home. Visitation is scheduled from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at the Carlsbad Cemetery with Rev. Stephanie Harmon officiating.

Carolyn was born June 14, 1941, in Carlsbad, New Mexico. She grew up in Carlsbad, and after finishing high school, she got married and started her family of three children. She was a beloved mother and grandmother, and cherished every moment she could spend with them. She was a long-time member of Happy Valley Baptist Church. Carolyn worked for the Carlsbad schools for seven years, and then went to work for Lakeview Christian Homes, where she was a dietary supervisor until retirement in 1998. She enjoyed computers, gardening, and crocheting. Carolyn will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Carl C. Schoolcraft; mother, Jo Mae (Jeffus) Schoolcaft.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Tammy Morgan and husband, David of Carlsbad, NM; son, Edmond Morgan, Jr. And wife, Ann of Fallon, NV; daughter, Tanya Jo Willis of Carlsbad, NM; three grandchildren: Juston Hood (Penny), Peyton Willis, and Alexis Looney; four great-grandchildren: Cheyenne Hood, KC Brazil, Willow Barnes, and Blazlii Barnes; sister, Judy Buckner and husband, Joe of Bosque Farm, NM; and two nephews.
