Carol L. Wood Doyle, 70, of W. Blodgett Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away February 18, 2021 at her home. Visitation will be 7 PM – 8:30 PM, Wednesday, February 24, 2021. Visitation is limited to 5 people at a time and facial coverings are required. Private services will be held at Landmark Baptist Church with Pastor Josh Crabb officiating. Carol was born November 24, 1950 to William J. and Josephine L. (Groves) Wood, Sr. She graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1969. Carol married Del Doyle June 6, 1969. She owned and operated Carol’s House of Flowers from 1978 until retiring in 2005. Carol cherished the time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a strong woman and strong in her faith in Christ. Carol was blessed with an outgoing personality and used it for God in many ways. She coordinated vacation bible school at Bethel Baptist Church for many years and had an awesome way of bringing people together for the Lord. Her testimony in the Lord was amazing and she was able to lead hundreds of souls to Christ. Carol was preceded in death by her father, William J. Wood, Sr.; brothers: James Wood, Sr. and William J. Wood, Jr.
Survivors are her husband, Del Doyle; daughters: Michelle Harper and husband, Trent, LeeAnne Rice and husband, Danny; mother, Josephine Wood; grandchildren: Malerie, Zachary and Hannah Harper; Josh Crabb and wife, Allison, Katelyn Crabb, Emalee Reynolds and husband, Dillon, Nick Barnes and Jesse Rice; great-grandchildren: Kay’Lee Nesbit, Emerson and Elliott Crabb; sister, Loretta Jo Wood and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Trent Harper, Josh Crabb, Zach Harper, Dillon Reynolds, Danny Rice, Malerie Harper, Hannah Harper and Jesse Rice. Honorary pallbearers will be Elliott Crabb.
