Carlos F. Ruiz, Sr., 68, of W. Cedar Street, Loving, New Mexico, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015 at his home.
Visitation will be 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home.
A Vigil is scheduled for Tuesday, August 4, 2015, 7:00 PM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Wednesday, August 5, 2015, 10:00 AM, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with Fr. Pasala Hruday Kumar officiating.
Interment will follow in Loving Cemetery, Loving, New Mexico.

Carlos F. Ruiz, Sr. was born May 7, 1947 in Saucillo, Chihuahua, Mexico to Jose and Leonarda (Favela) Ruiz. He came to the states as a young boy. Carlos began work at United Salt where he worked 25 years. He also worked with his son, Saul, in carpentry for many years as well. Sometime after his wife, Esther's death, Carlos married Socorro and they have had 23 years of marriage together. He enjoyed music, yard work and spending time with his family. Carlos never turned down the opportunity to see his grandchildren play sports. He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Ruiz; wife, Esther P. Ruiz; grandchildren: Hector Carlos Munoz, Anita Munoz; great-grandbabies: Jordan, Angel, Nathaniel and brother, Cosme Vasquez.
Survivors are his wife, Socorro E. Ruiz of Loving, NM; children: Rosalinda R. Munoz and husband, Arturo, Sr., of Loving, NM, Carlos M. Ruiz, Jr. and wife, Caroline of Carlsbad, NM, Suzy R. Flores of Carlsbad, NM, Ronnie P. Ruiz and wife, Tammy of Carlsbad, NM, Jimmy Lopez and Yvette of Loving, NM, Saul Ruiz and wife, Maria of Carlsbad, NM, John Lopez and Coco of Loving, NM; mother, Leonarda Ruiz of Loving, NM; 20 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings: Ricardo Ruiz and wife, Estefana, Olga Chavez, Jose de La Luz Ruiz, Guadalupe Vasquez and husband, Benjamin, Rudy Ruiz, Irma Murillo and husband, Gonzalo, Ruben Ruiz and wife, Margie; and numerous nieces and nephews
Pallbearers will be John Lopez, Saul Ruiz, Simon Ruiz, Scott Flores, Jacob Ruiz, Arturo Munoz, Jr., Sonny Granado and Sam Chavez.
