Carlos Duran

Carlos Duran, 30, of Albert Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Friday July 13, 2012. Visitation will be 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Graveside Service is scheduled for Thursday, July 19, 2012, 9:00 AM, at Carlsbad Cemetery with Bro. Don Neighbors officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Carlos Duran was born November 23, 1981 in Carlsbad, NM to Criselda Duran. He graduated from Carlsbad High School and married Samantha Porter on June 27, 2000. Carlos served honorably in the US National Guard. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, hiking and riding motorcycles with his boys. Carlos was a wonder and caring husband and father. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Ruben and Bertha Duran; brother, Christopher Duran; uncles: Manuel Duncan Duran and Ruben Rameo Duran. Survivors are his wife, Samantha Duran of Carlsbad, NM; three sons: Doniven Duran, Matthew Duran, Andrew Duran all of Carlsbad, NM; mother, Criselda Duran of Roswell, NM; two brothers: Manuel Pena, Felix Pena both of Roswell, NM; great-grandmother, Juana Florez of Carlsbad, NM; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers will be Chad Nance, Berry Heine, Dominique Onsurez, Manuel Pena, Felix Pena and Moses Duran. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com.
