Carlina Denhof Briggs

Carlina Denhof Briggs passed away peacefully in her home on December 4, 2015 in Albuquerque, NM at the age of 94. She is survived by her son, Dr. Charles R. Briggs, his wife, Stacey and his two children: Rand and Remy. Carlina is also survived by her daughter, Carla Briggs, her granddaughter, Elena Elliott-Hind, her husband, Josh Hind and their two children: Lucas and Ella. Carlina was born on October 23, 1921 in Clovis, NM to her mother, Julia Suzie Odom and her father, Dr. Charles Denhof. Carlina married Hence J. Briggs in 1945 shortly after he returned from WWII. She and Hence purchased a small farm in south Carlsbad and remained there until 1973. They sold the farm and moved to Country Club Circle in Carlsbad where she lived until 2000. In that year, Carlina moved to Albuquerque to be closer to her son Randy and granddaughter Elena. She remained in Albuquerque until her death. A graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, December 12, 2015, 11:00 AM, at Carlsbad Cemetery (old section) with her son, Dr. Charles R. Briggs officiating.
