Obituary Carl Wayne Tanner, Jr., 48, of Old Cavern Hwy, Carlsbad, NM, passed away February 7, 2019 at his home. A graveside service is scheduled for 10:30 AM, Friday, February 15, 2019 at Carlsbad Cemetery. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Carl was born July 8, 1970 in Carlsbad, NM to Carl Wayne Tanner, Sr. and Mary Louise (Teeter) Tanner. He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1988. Carl went to work in the oilfield. He was currently working for Knox Oilfield Supply where he was a sales representative. Carls hobbies included vehicles, drones, guitars and all his many toys. He was preceded in death by his sister, Loretta Hazel. Survivors are his sons: Chathame Tanner and wife, Kora of Carlsbad, NM, Codey Tanner and Cydney Criado of Amarillo, Texas; daughter, Catelynn Tanner and Joshua Zazueta of Amarillo, Texas; granddaughter, Arizona Rose Tanner; parents: Carl and Mary Tanner, Sr. of Carlsbad, NM; sister, Lori Smerer and husband, Emory; brother, Jimmy Tanner and wife, Misty and several nieces and nephews.
