C. Diane Hand

C. Diane Hand, 58, of S. Fourth Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away January 30, 2011 at her home. A Memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, February 2, 2011, 3:00 PM, at Primative Baptist Church, 607 N. 9th St. with Pastor Tim E. Funchess officiating. There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Diane Hand was born March 14, 1952 at WFB in Roswell, New Mexico to Herbert and Betty (Moran) Whiting. She attended Carlsbad High School. Diane worked at White City many years and later had a rural delivery route with the post office. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren as they were the love of her life. Diane was preceded in death by her mother Betty Whiting, daughter Michelle Hand, and brother Charles Michael Whiting. Survivors include her husband Jerry Hand of Carlsbad, NM; son; Marty Hand of CO; daughters; Lisa Hand of Grants, NM and Miranda Hand of Carlsbad, NM; father: Herbert Whiting and wife, Angelita of Carlsbad, NM and ten grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be all of her friends
