Bryce A. Jackson, 26, of Carlsbad, NM, passed away November 25, 2023. A memorial service is scheduled for 10:30 AM, Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Carlsbad First Assembly with Associate Pastor Patrick Long officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Veteran Memorial Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Bryce was born May 20, 1997 in Carlsbad, NM.  He attended school in Carlsbad and completed school in Roswell at New Mexico Youth Challenge Program.  Bryce enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp where he served his country for six years.  He worked for AXON and then one year as a corrections officer. Bryce recently went to work at WIPP as a security officer.  He was a jack of all trades and master of none.  Bryce loved gaming, bowling, and golfing. He was a Free Mason and member of a lodge in Virginia.  Most importantly, he was a wonderful husband and father.  Bryce was preceded in death by his grandfather, Walter Thayer.

Survivors are his wife, Ashley Jackson; son, Sonny Ray Jackson; mother, Jerri Escobedo and husband, Anthony; father, Jody Jackson and Jocelyn Reeves; brother, Jeremy Bowen and wife, Allie; sister, Baylie Jackson and Jacob Medrano; sister, Kendra Jackson; grandmother, Linda Thayer; grandmother, Debra Smith and husband, Bobby; grandfather, Mickey Jackson and wife, Pam; father and mother-in-law, Matthew and Natasha Garcia and nephew, Judah Medrano.

Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy Bowen, Trey Lopez, Drew Lowe, Tracer Lewis, James Knight, Travis Winder and Jake Milligan.
