Brook D. Jones

Obituary Brook D. Jones, 29, of Patrick Street Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away at home on Saturday, May 9, 2020. Brook was born on November 25, 1990, in Jacksonville, Florida to Denise Hines Phillips and Dylan Jones. Cremation has taken place, and no services will be held at this time. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Brook was such a tremendous bundle of energy, love and fun. Darran Jones certainly knew his brother best when he summed it up perfectly in that He had an extremely big heart, with an extremely large personality wrapped in an extremely large man. Brook impacted so many people (older and younger) in a positive way that he worked with, lived with or just had fun with. We know that Brook has left us way to early, but also know that he had no doubts where he would be in the afterlife. He is now soaring with the angels and keeping a watchful eye on all of those he cared about. This young man had so many comical stories about one thing after another, and others that maybe weren't so comical but definitely colorful. We will always remember those and share them with one another. Brook was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents James Hines and Mossie Hines Rice (and Walter) of Somerset, KY and paternal grandmother Katherine Jones of Somerset, KY. Brook is survived by his mother Denise Phillips and husband, Michael of Carlsbad, NM; father, Dylan Jones of Somerset, KY; brother, Darran Jones (and Mariah Labrie) of Georgetown, KY; brother, Jason Phillips (and Denise) of Ferguson, KY; sister, Joann Fain (and Kerry) of Somerset, KY; sister, Jennifer Brown (and John) of Trenton, OH; sister, Portia Phillips of Carlsbad, NM; sister, Shahalis Phillips of Carlsbad, NM; sister, Hannah Diane Pope of Georgia; brother by another mother, Dylan Lynn of Carlsbad, NM; paternal grandfather, David Jones (and Edna) of Somerset, KY; step-grandmother, Kathleen Phillips of Somerset, KY, Deanna Hines Proffitt (and Ricky) of Cisco, TX, Roger Jones of Hamilton, OH, Allison Jeanette Jones Stringer (and Keith) of Somerset, Lynelle Jones Wood of Somerset, KY, Holly Jones Zachos (and George) of Boston, MA, and numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and those that called him friend.
