Brian Scott Callicoat, 22, of North Mesa Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Monday, March 18, 2013 at in Texas. Visitation will be 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Friday, March 22, 2013 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, March 23, 2013, 2:00 PM, at Sunset Church of Christ with Brian McGonagill officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Brian Scott Callicoat was born on August 7, 1990 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was known to always be the life of the party. Brian had a wonderful sense of humor and could make anyone laugh, even if you were mad at him. He was a very hard worker, always making sure he provided for his family. Brian adored his son, Adam and was looking forward to Nikkay's birth in April. He enjoyed shooting paintball guns, riding motorcycles, four-wheelers, arcade games and bowling. Brian never turned down a meal, as he loved to eat. Survivors are his wife, Danielle Callicoat of Carlsbad, NM; son, Adam Callicoat of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Nikkay Surea Callicoat, due in April; father, Roger Callicoat of Chesapeake, Ohio; mother, Pandi Thompson and husband, Stephen of Artesia, NM; grandmother, Cara Callicoat of Carlsbad, NM; grandparents, John and Rosemary Callicoat of Applegrove, WV; step-grandfather, Marvin Thompson of Artesia, NM; siblings: Micah Callicoat and wife, Jordan of Carlsbad, NM, Amanda Thompson of Liberty City, Texas, Seath Thompson of Artesia, NM; father and mother-in-law, Shane and Trisha Barnes; two brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers will be Micah Callicoat, Seath Thompson, Roger Callicoat, Dalton Barnes, Vernon Elliott and Stetson Barnes. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com.
