Brenda Forrest

Brenda Forrest, 68, of Elora Drive, Carlsbad, NM, passed away April 7, 2025 at University Medical Center, Lubbock, Texas surrounded by the love of her family.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 2:00 PM- 4:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Monday, April 14, 2025 at St. Edward Catholic Church with Fr. Pasala Hruday Kumar officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM.

Brenda was born December 30, 1956 in Carlsbad, NM to Fred and Martha (Muzny) Miksch. She graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1974 and went on to attend the University of New Mexico. Brenda married her high school sweetheart, Bobby Forrest, on August 8, 1974, celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this past year. Brenda was a devoted wife, a proud mother of two sons she adored, and the treasured “Bebe” to three beautiful granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Tommy Miksch.

Survivors are her husband, Bobby Forrest; sons: Jesse Forrest, Jeff Forrest and wife, Shannon; grandchildren: Brynn, Harper, and Sloan Forrest; siblings: Mary Kay Ewing and husband, Reese, Rebecca Black and husband, Bill, Mark Miksch and wife, Anita, Maureen Paytner, Marsha Parker and husband, Brad; mother and father-in-law, Barbara and Bob Forrest, and numerous nieces and nephews.
