Bob Rogers

Bob Rogers, 85, of E. Blodgett Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away November 11, 2024 at Goodlife Assisted Living. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Carlsbad Cemetery with Chaplain Dennis Durfee officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Bob was born December 10, 1938, in McCurtain, Oklahoma to Ted and Hazel (Barkley) Rogers. He served his country in the US Navy. Bob married Nelda Wright December 18, 1959 in Carlsbad. He worked in the oil field several years before going to work for PCA. Bob worked for Duval, IMC, and Mosaic before retiring as general foreman. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Bob enjoyed cooking and family get togethers. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nelda J. Rogers; brother, Kenneth Rogers; sisters: Brenda Stiles, Ola Dean, and Etta Jane Johnson. Survivors are his son, Terry Rogers and fiancé, Sherry; grandsons: Ski Rogers and Taysha, and Hunter Rogers and wife, Samantha; great-grandchildren: Hayden, Abby, Hayli Jo, Ty, Hudsyn, and Hayzel; brother, Charles Rogers and wife, Wanda, and numerous nieces and nephews.
