Obituary
Bob Burneil Hamill, 74, of 84th Street Lubbock, TX passed away on July 13, 2019, at home in his granddaughters arms.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation will follow, and a memorial service will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 18, 2019, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Joe Lopez officiating.
Bob was born on November 4, 1944, in San Antonio, TX to Robert and Pauline Hamill. He graduated from Odessa High School in 1962. Later, he married the love of his life, Mary Henthorn on November 17, 1979. Bob was an entrepreneur having owned a grocery store, several electrical businesses, and finally retiring from Marathon Oil. He also built his own computers, volunteered to help others do their taxes, fed the neighborhood cats, spoiled his three dogs, cooked delicious food, played at casinos, loved watching movies and Netflix, and loved to be outdoors and travel to new places. His love for reading and drive for self-education always kept him moving. Bob loved to spend time with his friends, family, and his puppies and he will be missed and never forgotten.
Bob was preceded in death by his father, Robert Hamill; mother, Pauline White Hamill; sister Peggy Reeder; and son, Robbie Hamill.
Bob is survived by his wife, Mary Hamill of Lubbock, TX; daughter, Amber Bojorquez and husband, Leo of Carlsbad, NM; son, Mitch Hamill of Palestine, TX; son, Mike Hamill and wife, Brittany of Palestine, TX; son, Bobby Hamill of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren: Aryssa Bojorquez and Brandon Slate, Keon and Adilynn Bojorquez, Micah, Abbie, Ayden, Ava, Brittani, Brayson, Derrick and Dustin Hamill; and five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
