Obituary Billie J. Walker, 82, of Southwind Road, Carlsbad, NM, passed away June 19, 2019. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dick Means officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Billie was born May 30, 1937 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Bill and Marie (Stowe) Teague. She graduated from Catoosa High School in Catoosa, Oklahoma. Billie married Henry H. Walker February 15, 1957 in Carlsbad. When asked to describe Billie, one word comes to everyones mind, mom. Whether it was raising her children, and grandchildren, or helping anyone in need, she was the biggest hearted woman you could ever meet. To know her was to love her. She always made sure everyone was fed, it didnt matter how many, she could pull a gourmet meal together out of anyones refrigerator. Billie was always classy and expected the same from all of us, whether you were hers or not, you took your hat off in the house and you didnt wear your spurs to the table. She was loved by many and will be sorely missed. Billie was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jack Teague. Survivors are her husband, Henry H. Walker of Carlsbad, NM; daughters: Sheryl Lowrey and husband, John and Terri Michael and husband, Gary, all of Carlsbad, NM; son, Clay Walker and wife Tammie of Carlsbad, NM; grandchildren: Amanda Lowrey, Leslie Wiggins and husband, Robin, Cody Lewis, David Lewis, Brad Lewis, Dustin Walker, Kortney Bryant and husband, Shawn and Emmy Jean Walker; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Thomas; brothers: Jerry Poston and Billy Lynn Poston and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Clay Walker, Dustin Walker, Tater Sanders, Chris Clifton, David Lewis, Gary Michael, George Barta and Phil Stell.
