Beverly "Junie" West, 66, of Farris Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Monday, April 23, 2012 at her home.
Visitation will be 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, April 27, 2012, 10:00 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Michael E. Bingham officiating.
Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Beverly "Junie' West was born May 12, 1945 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Luther and Gwendolyn (White) Sessom. She was born and raised in Carlsbad, NM where she went to elementary school and attended Carlsbad High School. As an adult she was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Chapter Xi ETA sorority. Junie worked for JB Radio as a dispatcher which led to her employment as a switchboard operator at WIPP in 1984. There she made many friends with her pleasant, outgoing personality. Junie never met a stranger. Later at WIPP she advanced in her career as an accounting specialist until her retirement in 2004. Her joy in life was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson. Junie loved to read and was a published author of a romance novel. As a young child visiting relatives in the gulf coast area she developed a love for the ocean and visited with family and friends as often as possible. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Scott Mathews and brother-in-law, John Morris.
Survivors are her daughter, Debbie Wyatt and husband, Will of Carlsbad, NM; son, Brian West of Carlsbad, NM; daughter-in-law, Alisa West of Carlsbad, NM; three grandchildren: Justin Wyatt and wife Shyra, Tyler West, Sarah West all of Carlsbad; great-grandson, Kristopher Wyatt; three sisters: Lynda Jones and husband, Jon of Albuquerque, NM, Barbara Daniel and husband, Darold of Queen, Nelda Morris of Loving, NM and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Brian West, Kerry Jones, Will Wyatt, Justin Wyatt, Tyler West and Jon Jones.
