Betty K. Suggs

Betty K. Suggs, 87, of W. Blodgett Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away February 4, 2025 at her home.

 Visitation will be 4:00–6:00 PM, Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday, February 7, 2025 at Blodgett Street Baptist Church with Pastor David Prell officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

 Betty was born October 6, 1937 in Clovis, NM to Ervin and Beatrice (Caviness) Seefeld and moved to Carlsbad as a young girl with her parents. She graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1955. Betty married Donald R. Suggs August 15, 1958. She always loved arts and crafts. Betty was an active member of Blodgett Street Baptist Church where she enjoyed teaching VBS and Sunday School. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Mark Suggs.

 Survivors are her husband, Don Suggs; sons: Steve Suggs and wife, Gema, Craig Suggs; grandchildren: Stephanie, Jessica, Mika, Rachelle, and Troy, and 8 great-grandchildren.
