Obituary Benny Moreno, 79, of North 5th Street Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at his home. Benny was born on July 11, 1940, in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Jose and Anita Moreno. Cremation has taken place. A come and go memorial gathering, where people are invited to come visit and pay their respects to the family, will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Friday, August 30, 2019, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of these arrangements. Benny was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eva Moreno; daughter, Gina Moreno; two nieces, Amelita Armendarez and Linda Moreno. Benny is survived by his son Gilbert Moreno of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Teresa Calanche of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Gloria Moreno of Carlsbad, NM; son, Robert Moreno of Carlsbad, NM; five grandchildren; six, great-grandchildren; two sisters; two brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
