Benny "B.J." Speigel

Benny "B.J." Speigel, 84, of Westridge Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Landsun Health Services Center. There will be no vistation; cremation has taken place. A memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, March 20, 2016, 6:00 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stephanie M. Harmon officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Benny "B.J." Speigel was born October 4, 1931 in La Belle, Pennsylvania to Benjamin Franklin and Mae Ida (Crouch) Myers. She was preceded in death by her son, Shayne William Tiller; 3 good men; brother, Jack Myers and sister, Gale Day Roach. Survivors are her sons: Jamie Wade Hawkins and wife, Kathy of Carlsbad, NM, Darby Bruce Hawkins and wife, Catherine of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughters: Day Ann Wilsher of Houston, Texas, Sandy Beth Rose and husband, Noel of Bronson, Texas, Shannon Joyce Tiller and husband, Vinnie White of Carlsbad, NM; stepson, David Speigel and wife, Saundra of Oregon; stepdaughters: Gloria Carpenter and Marlene Huebner; sister, Sandra Gay Sawyers of La Belle, PA; daughter-in-law, Katrina Tiller of Carlsbad, NM; sister-in-law, Jan Myers of Northfield, Ohio; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and daughter in love Melanie Higgins.
