Barbara Morales

Barbara Morales, 64, of North 5th Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2011 at her home. There will be no public visitation. A Graveside Service is scheduled for Wednesday, September 14, 2011, 11:00 AM, at Sunset Gardens Memorial Park with Pastor John A. Burke officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Barbara Morales was born January 18, 1947 in Wichita Falls, TX to J. W. and Winnie (Smelley) Willis. She moved to Carlsbad with her family as a young girl. Barbara worked with the Carlsbad Municipal Schools for several years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Johnny Looney; husband, Joe Morales and sister, Patricia Farris. Survivors are five sons: Dennis Looney and wife, Brenda of Phoenix, AZ, Wil Willis and wife, Lacy of Carlsbad, NM, Todd Looney and Robin Kincaid of Carlsbad, NM, Jeremiah Looney of Florence, CO, Steve Looney and Misty Henson of Phoenix, AZ; two daughters: Amanda Graves of Carlsbad, NM, Sylvia "Adlie" Looney of Carlsbad, NM; 22 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister: Sue Pagano and husband, Dick of Carlsbad, NM; three brothers: Wes Willis of Socorro, NM, Garry Willis and wife, Peggy of Albuquerque, NM and Grant Willis of Carlsbad, NM. Pallbearers will be Shane Kincaid, Korbin Baldridge, Tyler Howell, Antonio Vega, Mark Forrest, Jason Howell, Steven Standard and Jake Willis. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com.
