Aubrey Michelle Chitwood, 2, of Singletree, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away September 5, 2010 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Visitation will be Wednesday, 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM, September 8, 2010 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, September 9, 2010, 10:00 AM, at First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Brad Coates officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Aubrey Michelle Chitwood was born June 2, 2008 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. She loved being a princess and would always choose shopping for dresses and shoes over toys any day. Our Angel on earth is now God's Angel in Heaven. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Juanita Chitwood; grandfather, Tom Bederman; great-grandmother, Ada Ivy; uncle, Craig Chitwood; cousin, Jeremy Rushing and great-grandmother, Betty Cook. Survivors include: mother, Corrina Chitwood of Carlsbad, NM; two brothers, Isaac Chitwood of Carlsbad, NM, Owen Chitwood of Carlsbad, NM; grandparents: Bruce and Debbie Chitwood of Carlsbad, NM; Crissy Smith of Silver City, NM; great-grandparents: Stanley Chitwood of Silver City, NM, Michael and Joyce Cook of Gallatin, TN, David and Judy McHale of Atlanta, GA, Elizabeth Bederman of Hurley, NM and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
