Arthur "Art" T. McClintock

Arthur T. "Art" McClintock, II, 62, of Buckboard, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at his home. There will be no visitation, cremation will take place. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Monday, February 24, 2014, 11:00 AM, at New Song Fellowship with Pastor John A. Burke officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Arthur T. "Art" McClintock, II was born January 30, 1952 in Alamosa, Colorado to Arthur and Stella (Valdez) McClintock. He married Melody Mustain February 5, 1977. Art was an avid guitar player and played in numerous rock bands from California to Texas. His most recent gig was with New Song Praise and Worship Team which he called home. Art was employed at Carlsbad Chevrolet. "You still rock." He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Kyle Smith. Survivors are his wife, Melody McClintock of Carlsbad, NM; children: Jeff Smith of California, Mara Lester and husband, James of Carlsbad, NM, Arthur "Trey" McClintock, III of Carlsbad, NM, Mariah Rivera and husband, Felipe of Carlsbad, NM; grandchildren: Kendra and J.J. Lester; Toby, Cole and Memorie Austin; Baylee McClintock, Sydnee Lactaoen; four great-grandchildren; sisters: Margaret, Arlene, Florence, Jo Ann, brother, Randy and numerous nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters in Christ at New Song Fellowship.
