Armando "Mando" Martinez

Armando "Mando" Martinez, 60, of Tansil Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away May 5, 2012 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 8, 2012 from 4:00-7:00 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, May 9, 2012, 10 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Elmore officiating. Interment will follow in Santa Catarina Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Mando enjoyed fishing and camping. He will be greatly missed by all of his family. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Steve "Crazyhorse" Martinez and Fernando Martinez. Survivors are three sons: Ivan Manuel Martinez, Anthony "Fish" Martinez and Gerome Martinez all of Oregon; one daughter; six grandchildren; parents: Manuel and Josephina Martinez of Carlsbad, New Mexico; five sisters: Belen Lujan and husband, Cecil of Hobbs, New Mexico, Alicia Potts of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Corina Cordova of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Faye Cashman of Eutica, New York, Belinda Colorado of Carlsbad, New Mexico and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are: Delfin Hinojos, Jimmy Bailey, Oscar Colorado Jr., Eric Cordova, Ray Martinez and Ivan Colorado. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com.
