Obituary Apollo Polo Cobos, Jr., 47, of Carlsbad, formerly of Artesia, passed away April 9, 2019 at University Medical Center, Lubbock, Texas. Visitation will be 3:00 PM 5:00 PM, Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A vigil is scheduled for 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 25, 2019 at San Jose Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday, April 26, 2019 at San Jose Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Polo was born September 21, 1971 in Carlsbad, NM to Apolo and Estella (Duarte) Cobos, Sr. He is survived by his fianc, Sara and their children, Jersey, Journey and Stormy; daughter, Crystal Hernandez and husband, Israel and their children, Israel, Jr., Yariah, Mia and Danielle, all of Carlsbad, NM; son, Apolo Cobos, III and wife, Perla of Carlsbad, NM; daughters: Apolonia Cobos of Carlsbad, NM; brothers: Danny Cobos, Joe Duarte, Francisco Garcia, Jesus Ornelas and Henry Duarte, all of Carlsbad, NM; sisters: Maryann Cobos of Carlsbad, NM and Erica Comacho of Roswell, NM. Pallbearers will be Apollo Cobos, Jr., Apolonia Cobos, Crystal Hernandez, Israel Hernandez, Alfonzo Sifuentes and Tony Ornelas.
