Obituary Antonia H. Romero, 80, of N. 1st Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020 at her home. Visitation will be 4 PM 7 PM, Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Visitation will be limited to 30 people in the chapel at a time, masks are required. A private rosary will be held with Deacon Manuel Chavez officiating. Graveside services are scheduled for 11 AM, CDT, at Valentine Cemetery, Valentine, Texas, with Fr. John Paul officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Antonia was born August 28, 1939 in Valentine, Texas to Francisco and Maria (Ornelas) Hernandez. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rojelio Rodriguez Romero; daughters: Alicia Romero, Carmelia Romero; sons: Armando Romero, Rojelio Romero; grandson, Francisco Pedro Rojelio Romero; daughter-in-law, Linda Romero and sisters: Eliberta Rodriguez, Anita Garcia, Maria Jesus Estor, Manuela Hernandez, Refugia Hernandez, Alejandra Estrada, Cleotilde Alvarez, Juana Hernandez, Paubla Hernandez and Manuela Hernandez. Survivors are her sons: Robert Louis Romero, Francisco H. Romero and Gloria Gutierrez, Cesario H. Romero and Veronica Garcia; daughter, Lorina H. Granados and husband, Fernando; grandchildren: Rojelio E. Romero, Jesse Romero, Jennifer Ann Romero, Anthony Romero, Mario Romero, Joshua Romero, K-Lee Romero, K-Cee Lynn Romero, Chris Dominguez, K-Dee Romero, PR Romero, Gabriel Garcia, Christina Maria Romero Fuentz, Carmen Romero Fuentz, Anakasandra Romero Granados and Lorina Romero Granados; great-grandchildren: AdaLynn, Manuel, Tristan, Amaya, Marissa, A.J., Jesus B., Haylee J., Yesenia, Adrian, Samuel, Gabriel R.F. and Nicole Rose and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Robert Romero, Francisco Romero, Cesario Romero, Fernando Granados, Jesse Romero and Roger Romero.
