Anthony Rodriquez, 36, of Cypress St. Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away January 23, 2024 at his home. Visitation will be held 4:00pm- 7:00pm Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 10:30am Thursday, February 1, 2024 at San Jose Catholic Church followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am will Father Juan Carlos Ramirez officiating. Interment will follow at Carlsbad Cemetery.
Anthony was born on September 17, 1987, in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He was a hard-working man and was currently working at Keystone. Anthony was loved by many and was a very loving, caring and influential member of his family. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Santiago C. Garcia Sr. and grandmother, Eva G. Garcia.
Anthony is survived by his grandmother, Adelina Hutchins; mother, Maria Magdalena Garcia (Nena) and father, Robert Michael Rodriquez Sr.; brothers: Gabriel and Robert Rodriquez; sisters: Cristina Florez and Vannessa Rodriquez; love of his life, wife, Sarah Marie, and children Armani and Emilee Rodriquez, Frankie Marie, Steven Larez and grandchild Jhen’e Anderson along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Anthony Rodriguez grew up in Carlsbad. He was born into a large family and had many friends who cared and supported him. Anthony had great respect and love for his family and friends, and made a huge impact on all who knew him. He touched the lives of many and always did what he could do to make sure his family was provided for and happy. Throughout his life, he had many dreams and goals that he never gave up on. He enjoyed making others laugh and was a man of many talents. Anthony loved to express his creativity by making music, drawing, painting and also enjoyed reading the Bible and teaching his family about the scriptures that were impacting his life. Anthony was a man of God who found peace by believing, trusting, and building his relationship with the Lord. Throughout his journey, he encouraged others to be better and never judged anyone for any reason. Anthony always wanted the best for his loved ones and continuously pushed himself to become the best man he could become so that he could have a positive influence on those around him.
Anthony never stopped caring for others. He was a great father and family man and had endless love for his family. He believed in “Something Much Greater” and always aimed high to achieve greatness for himself and for all. Although his spirit has moved on, the moments and memories he shared with his family and the legacy he built will be carried on and cherished in our hearts forever.
Pallbearers will be Armani Rodriquez, Steven Larez, Robert Rodriquez, Johnathan Melendrez, Mario Silva, David Galindo, Jr. and Daniel Mendoza. Honorary Pallbearer will be Robert Dominguez Jr.
