Anthony Ray Ortiz

Ray Anthony Ortiz, 54, of S. 5th Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away January 21, 2022 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date.

Ray Anthony Ortiz was born January 9, 1968 in Carlsbad, NM to Ray and Alice (Rodriguez) Ortiz. He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1986. Ray worked in the oil field for many years. He was a DJ and loved music. Ray will be tremendously missed by his family and friends. He was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness congregation. Ray was preceded in death by his father, Ray J. Ortiz and son, Gabriel Campos.
Survivors are his wife, Pamela Ortiz; son, Rajon Anthony Villalpando; daughter, Jazmine Rachell Ortiz; mother, Alice Ortiz; grandchildren: Aubriel N. Campos, Brooklyn Sky Campos, Zamari Jane Vasquez, Aziraya Bell Vasquez, Kennydi Kai Amos, Noah Elijah Villalpando, Jahliyah Florez and Roman Florez; siblings: Ruben Ortiz, Cindi Ortiz, Richey Ortiz and numerous nieces and nephews.
