Obituary Tony Buck, 76 of Ural Drive, Carlsbad New Mexico passed away Tuesday February 6, 2018 in Lubbock Texas. Visitation will be 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Friday, February 9, 2018 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral Services are scheduled for 9:00 AM, Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Eddie Bradshaw officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Anthony Joe Buck was born to Oscar and Martha Buck on March 18, 1941 in Coleman, Texas. In 1959, he married Mary Jean Schrock. Tony worked for Holsum Bakery, Browns Grocery, Safeway and Patmans IGA Foodliner. In retirement he enjoyed gardening, working in his yard, casino trips, playing dominos and fishing. He was known as Poppy to all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Tony was always joking, laughing and had many stories to tell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary and his parents. Survivors are daughters: Liz Jeffress and husband, Bruce of Carlsbad, Laurie Pruitt and husband, Mo of Carlsbad; brother, Richard Buck of Del Rio TX; grandchildren: Christa Estrada, Dale Jeffress, Jana Aguilar and Mario, Bryan Franks and Doris, Anthony Franks, Stephanie Franks, Eric Franks and great-grandchildren: Jacie Estrada, Leighton Franks and Maddison, Savannah and Katie Aguilar.
