Anthony "Tony" Halpain, 58, of Spruill Drive, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Lovelace Medical Center, Albuquerque, NM. Visitation will be 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM, Friday, February 19, 2016 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Family and friends will gather for a meal at 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 606 W. Shaw Street. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, February 20, 2016, 3:30 PM, at New Beginnings Church of God with Pastor Daniel Mullins officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Anthony "Tony" Halpain was born June 2, 1957 in Colgate, Oklahoma to Ed and Freda (McCord) Halpain. He graduated from Goddard High School in 1976 and moved to Carlsbad in 1978 to work for the NM Highway Department. Tony married Tammy Noland June 8, 1979. He went to work for Eddy County Detention Center where he retired after 23 years. Tony has owned and operated Roadrunner Sewer and Drain Services since 1989. He never met a stranger and truly enjoyed relationships from family and friends to individuals he met during his career at the Sheriff's department or the buddy next to them at the car show. If you needed a hand, his was there. Tony had a passion for old cars. He spent countless hours restoring old cars and bartering for everything and anything. He truly loved his family and friends. Tony was preceded in death by his father and sister, Leslie Ernest Survivors are his wife, Tammy Halpain of Carlsbad, NM; daughters, Jennifer Rossiter and husband, James of Albuquerque, NM, Kim Padilla and husband, Steve of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren: Richard Padilla, Joseph Padilla and Robbie Rossiter; mother, Freda Halpain of Marble Falls, Texas; brother, Tim Halpain and wife, Debra; sisters: Deidre Halpain, Judy Bayliss and husband, Mark; father and mother-in-law, Frank and Marilyn Noland and numerous nieces and nephews Memorial contributions may be made to CARC, Inc., 902 W.
