Annie Lyon

Annie Lyon, 91, Carlsbad resident, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2016 in Landsun Homes, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Memorial services are scheduled for Thursday, November 10, 2016, 2:00 PM, at Landsun Homes - Otto Chapel with Chaplain Stephanie Harmon officiating. Entombment will take place at Vista Verde Memorial Park in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Annie Lyon was born to William Frazier and Maryann (Barclay) Lyon February 24, 1925 in Vaughn, New Mexico where she graduated from high school. In 1943 Annie went to work as an operator for Mountain Bell Telephone. She transferred to Tucumcari in 1949 and then to Albuquerque retiring in 1978. Annie moved to Carlsbad in June of 1995. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, Landsun Auxiliary, United Methodist Women, life member of Telephone Pioneers of America and Communication Workers of America. Annie was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Jessie S. Lyon. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com
