Obituary Annette Teresse Saiz, 49, of W. Plaza Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away July 5, 2020 in El Paso, Texas. Cremation has taken place. A rosary will be held at 9:15 AM, Saturday, July 18, 2020 followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM, St. Edward Catholic Church with Fr. Pasala Hruday Kumar officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM. Annette was born June 5, 1971 in Carlsbad, NM. She loved music and enjoyed singing. Annette cherished her family, especially her children and her dogs: Georgia and Armani. She was previously employed at Golden Corral, Pasta Caf, Lucys La Fonda and Sonic. She was preceded in death by her birth father, Carlos Martinez; maternal grandparents: Gene Acosta and Carolina Acosta; paternal grandparents: Manuel and Genva Saiz and Julio and Benita Martinez; uncle, Edward Acosta. Survivors are her children: Anton Saiz of El Paso, Texas, Jerry Ortega, Jr. of Artesia, NM, Tim Gonzales of Carlsbad, NM, Tyler Gonzales of Carlsbad, NM, Breanna Acosta of El Paso, Texas, Nehemiah Saiz of Carlsbad, NM and Mariah Saiz of Carlsbad, NM; mother, Loyola Saiz of Carlsbad, NM; father, Silverio Saiz and wife, Yvonne of Carlsbad, NM; siblings: Richard Saiz and wife, Tina, Valerie Munoz, Gabriel Rubio and wife, Bethie and Jennifer Arney and husband, Jonathan, all of Carlsbad, NM; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
