Anna Eggleston

Anna Eggleston, 87, of Westridge Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away August 7, 2010 at Landsun Health Services Center. Visitation will be 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Wednesday, August 11, 2010, 2:00 PM, at St. Edward Catholic Church with Fr. Cyprian Uline, OFM, Conv. officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Anna Eggleston was born August 6, 1923 in Turea, Poland to Ivan and Anastacia (Nochpipha) Woytowytsch. After WWII, she came to the United States at the age of 27 and was sponsored by the Brininstool family. Anna married Leslie Eggleston on June 19, 1954 in Carlsbad. She was employed for 26 years in the housekeeping department at Guadalupe Medical Center. Anna had a precious heart and loved all. To know her was to love her. Despite the many hardships she endured throughout her life, she remained true to her faith. She was one of God's angels on earth and has now been called Home. In 1994 Anna was joyously reunited with her brother to whom she was separated from as a young girl. This was the highlight of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bruno Eggleston and husband, Leslie Eggleston. Survivors are her three sons: Frank Eggleston of Houston, TX, Joe Eggleston of Albuquerque, NM, Bruce Eggleston of Phoenix, AZ; three daughters: Debra Yamasaki and husband, Boyd of Hawaii, Beverly Brazeal and husband, John Jr. of Carlsbad, NM, Mary Ann Melton and husband, Gary of Lubbock, TX; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and brother: Ivan Woytowytsch of Turea, Ukraine. Pallbearers will be Frank Eggleston, Gary Melton, Jason Griffin, A. J. Brazeal, Joe Eggleston, Eric Eggleston and Daniel Munoz. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com.
