Anita Trinidad, 64, of West Pierce Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at Lakeview Christian Home. Visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 PM, Monday, October 27, 2014 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A vigil is scheduled for Monday, October 27, 2014, 7:00 PM at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Tuesday, October 28, 2014, 10:00 AM, at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Pasala Hruday Kumar officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Anita Trinidad was born October 3, 1950, in Seminole, Texas to Vivian and Lydia (Villereal) Garza. She lived in Seminole until moving to Denver City as a young woman. Anita married David Trinidad and raised their three children in Denver City. She worked at Royce's Restaurant for many years. Anita later moved to New Mexico where she lived in Hobbs and more recently Carlsbad. Survivors are her daughters: Betty Sanchez and husband, Robert of Carlsbad, NM, Laurie Wells of Ada, Oklahoma; son: David Trinidad of Austin, Texas; grandchildren: Stephanie Suniga, Brittany Suniga, R.D. Sanchez, Maegan Isenberg, Sydney Isenberg, Brogan Wells; brothers: Johnny Garza, Ray Garza, Sammy Garza, Frank Garza, Henry Garza, Toby Garza, Joe Garza, Leroy Garza; sisters: Oralia "Lolly" Medina, Yolanda Aldaco, Angie Castillo, Senayda Castillo, Rachel Ortega; niece, Brenda Garza and numerous nieces and nephews Pallbearers will be Leroy Garza, James Ortega, Paul Ortega, Shorty Garza, Andrew Medina, Jr. and Tony Castillo Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com.
