Anita Saler, 65, former resident of Carlsbad, NM passed away on Tuesday January 16, 2024 at Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque, NM surround by her family. Cremation has taken place and services will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 10:00 AM, at First Baptist Church 112 N Alameda St Carlsbad, NM

Anita was born on April 3rd, 1958, in Carlsbad, NM to Roy B. and Ruby (Miller) Laney-Boulware.

She married the love of her life and dancing partner Mike, on December 11th 1987 and turned us into an instant family of 6 and they never looked back.

She was known to many as "Momma Nita" and her "Accept me as I am" attitude, which is what made her the solid and grounded woman that she was. She took in all of her kid’s friends as her very own and they got into trouble with her as much as her own kids did. She was known for her great cooking and her 411 skills. She somehow knew things before the police knew them. Her love and devotion for her family truly was one of a kind.

Anita was an amazing wife, Mom, Nana, Memaw, sister, daughter, aunt and woman and she will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her very missed and beloved son Little Gene Bryan, brother Roy Wayne Laney, niece; Cindy Laney.

Survivors are her Husband Mike Saler, Brother, Paul Laney, daughters; Heather Wilcox and husband Jimmy, April Jennings and husband Matt, Sons; Billy Bryan and wife Kari, Beau Saler and wife Cassie. Grandchildren; Harley Nieto and husband Daniel, Julie Hardesty and husband Aaron, Mathew Wilcox, Elizabeth Wilcox and partner Brendan Boch, Luke Wilcox, Austin Jennings and wife Lauryn, Harmony Jennings, Justin Jennings, Jade Bryan, Carter Saler, Kaylah Saler and 14 Great-grandkids and several great-nieces and great-nephews and cousins.

Momma, we love you to the moon and back!
