Angie Trujillo, 57, of Singletree Road, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014 at her home. Visitation will be 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, April 17, 2014, 10:00 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Andy Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Angie Trujillo was born January 3, 1957 in Compton, California to Emelio and Frances (Trujillo) Zamora. She married Benjamin Trujillo on August 16, 1975 in Capitan, NM and moved to Carlsbad in 1976. Angie enjoyed being a mother to her children and in recent years she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She never turned down the opportunity to fish, camp and play bunco. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: JoAnn Duarte; brother, Manuel Zamora and Beanie Zamora. Survivors are her husband, Benjamin "Benjie" Trujillo of Carlsbad, NM; children: Renee Onsurez and husband, Victor of Carlsbad, NM, Tony Trujillo of Carlsbad, NM, Jessica Cobb of Carlsbad, NM; grandchildren: Victor Onsurez, IV, Victorie Onsurez, Jacklynn Trujillo, Anthony Trujillo, Jaxon Cobb; sisters: Emily Beltron, Tina Ramirez, Lisa Ramirez and Maxine Zamora and brothers: Jerry Zamora, Joseph Zamora and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Tony Trujillo, Victor Insurez, III, Victor Onsurez, IV, Raycel Zamora, Jerry Ramirez, James Cobb, Daniel Onsurez and Mike Beltron. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com.
