Amelia C. Armendariz

Amelia C. Armendariz, 77, of West Stevens Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 at her home. Visitation will be Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 4:00PM-6:00PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Vigil will be at 6:00 PM, Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, December 3, 2021, at 2:00 PM, at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Amelia C. Armendariz was born June 22, 1944 in Loving, New Mexico to Ignacio and Margarita (Carnero) Armendariz. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, coloring and watching western movies while eating popcorn. Amelia loved being with all her family. Amelia was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Arturo Rueda and Joe Rueda. Survivors are sisters: Patricia Carnero; Flora Corona and husband, Johnny; Olga Rueda; brothers: Alejandro Duran and wife, Anna; Adan Armendariz and wife, Mary; Ignacio Armendariz; Mario Daniel Armendariz and wife, Bessie: Sylvestre Rueda and wife, Luz; sister-in-law: Lillian Rueda and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Ashley Carnero, Miguel Carnero, Vadik Armendariz, Mario Armendariz, Jr., Adan Armendariz, Jr., Sylvestre Rueda, III, Mark Calanche and Danny Calanche.
