Alvin E. Morris, Jr., 45, of Dagger Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Carlsbad Medical Center.
There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Wednesday, December 7, 2011, 2:00 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Wilson Rogers officiating.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Alvin E. Morris was born October 5, 1966 in Albuquerque, NM to Alvin Edward and Barbara J. (Young) Morris, Sr. He moved to Carlsbad as a young boy with his family. Alvin worked for Auto Zone and Short's Body Shop. Most recently he was working for S and B Oilfield Services as a diesel mechanic. Alvin married Hope Carrasco on October 5, 2008 here in Carlsbad. He was a long time collector of Hot Wheels. Alvin also enjoyed working on vehicles and was known as a very honest man. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Edith.
He is survived by his wife, Hope Morris of Carlsbad, NM; two step-sons: Brandon B. Carrasco of Artesia, NM and James B. Carrasco of Artesia, NM.
Honorary pallbearers are Matthew Carrasco, Brandon Carrasco, James Carrasco, Vincent Valdez and Raymond Carrasco.
