Allan "Al" Eugene DeWater, 76, of Carlsbad, passed away Monday, June 30, 2014 in Lubbock, Texas.
There will be no visitation, cremation will take place
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Tuesday, July 8, 2014, 2:00 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel.

Al was born on February 9, 1938 in Hutchinson, Kansas. He retired after 36 years at Rockwell International/Boeing Corporation where he worked on the Apollo and Space Shuttle Programs in Palmdale, California. Al was an avid model train enthusiast, enjoyed woodworking, antique glass collector and he and his wife, Bev enjoyed many years RVing with the Good Sam "Cavemen Sams" as well as exploring many state parks. Al was preceded in death by his parents, John and Nettie (White) DeWater; sister, Lois and brother, Delbert.
Al is survived by his wife of 30 years, Beverly (Stickney) DeWater; sister, Patricia Stevens of Carlsbad; sons: Don Mruk and wife, Lorrie of Lakeside, California, Bruce DeWater and wife, Denell of Sparks, Nevada, Keith DeWater and wife, Roiann of Lancaster, California, John DeWater of Lancaster, California; daughter, Ruth Ann DeWater of Spokane, Washington; 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
