Obituary Alissia M. Rodriguez, 22, of Oregon Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away August 16, 2018 at University Medical Center, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Visitation will be 5:00 PM 7:00 PM, Friday, August 24, 2018 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dave Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in Santa Catarina Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Alissia was born October 29, 1995 in Carlsbad, NM. She was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at an early age. Alissia fought like a warrior while waiting for a lung transplant. She now has those new lungs. Survivors are her mother, Jessica Irish of Carlsbad, NM; father, Julio Rodriguez of Carlsbad, NM; siblings: Kaitlyn Rodriguez, Matthew Rodriguez and Samantha Frazier, all of Carlsbad, NM and a loving extended family. Pallbearers will be Robert DeMoss, Abel Perry, Angel Perry, Clay Pettes, Bobby Thomas, Josh Richardson and Ethan Richardson.
