Alicia R. Rodriguez

Alicia R. Rodriguez, 66, of Bindel Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away August 21, 2009 at Lakeview Christian Home. There will be no visitation. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, August 24, 2009, 10:00 AM, at Temple Beth El with Mr. Jeff Diamond officiating. Interment will follow at Carlsbad Cemetery. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Alicia was born on December 7, 1942 to Pedro Rodriguez and Theodra (Soto) Rodriguez in Durango, Mexico. She moved to Carlsbad in 1969 and married Lino M Rodriguez. Alicia became a nurse's assistant and worked for Coordinated Care and Northgate Lakeview Nursing Home. Her main passion was studying her Jewish faith. Her hobbies included working around the house and gardening. Survivors include sons: Jose Angel Vargas and wife, Brenda of Carlsbad, NM; George L. Rodriguez of El Paso, TX, and Gerald S. Rodriguez and wife, Mercedes of Carlsbad, NM; daughter: Maria Eugenia Carrasco and Ismael Mata and daughter: Cruz Green and husband Jesse of Carlsbad, NM; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jose Angel Vargas, Gerald S. Rodriguez, Jesse M. Green, Ismael Mata, Richard Carrasco II, Isaiah Vargas, Jonathan Rodriguez and Isidro Portillo.
