Alicia Navarrete

Alicia Navarrete, 97, of S. Guadalupe Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at her home. Visitation will be 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM, Friday, February 22, 2013 at San Jose Catholic Church, 1002 DeBaca. Services will be begin with the Rosary at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 22, 2013 and the Mass of Christian Burial will follow at San Jose Catholic Church with Father Valentine Jankowski, OFM, Conv. officiating. Cremation will take place after services and burial will be at a later date. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Alicia Navarrete was born December 14, 1915 in Presidio, TX to Julian and Dolores (Morales) Alvarado. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pilar Navarrete; brother, Alvaro and Abe Alvarado and sister, Amparo Zuniga. She is survived by her sons: Alfredo Armijo, Pilar Navarrete and wife, Pat, Raul Navarrete, David Navarrete and wife, Delia; daughter, Elva Hensley; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; very special friend, Dora Larez Webber. Honorary pallbearers are Martin Navarrete, Pilar Navarrete, Joshua Navarrete, Paul Armjo, Mick Armijo and Matt Armijo. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com.
