Alicia Ann Hale

Alicia Ann Hale, 41, of West Wood Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 at her home. There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. A Memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, April 23, 2014, 2:00 PM, at 607 W. Blodgett Street, home of Donna Johnson. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Alicia Ann Hale was born September 25, 1972 in Glendale, Arizona to Ricky and Debra (Harris) Hale. She was also known as "Ea". She grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. In high school she was on the swim team. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at Northern Arizona University. She received her Master's Degree in Education from Phoenix, AZ. Alicia taught Special Education. She moved to Carlsbad in 2012. Alicia loved old movies and musicals and enjoyed reading. Her dogs were very important to her. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Felton and Joann Hale. Survivors are her mother, Debra Covert and husband, Michael of Belleville, IL; father, Ricky Hale of Phoeniz, AZ; siblings: Jenny Husk and Nik Rocklin of New Haven, CT, Tonya Grabruck and husband, Jeff of Tomball, TX, Casey Sanna and husband, Nick of Belleville, IL; Terry L. Husk, Jr. of Marietta, GA, Kayla Covert of Belleville, IL, Haley Holmes of Denver, CO; 8 nieces and nephews; grandmother, Dolores Shields of Martha's Vineyard of MA and uncle, Glen Hale of Phoenix, AZ.
