Alice Anne Kimbrough, 80, of Riverview Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2013 at home with members of her family with her.
There will be no visitiation, cremation has taken place.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Sunday, November 10, 2013, 2:00 PM, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3301 South Canal Street (Loving Highway) with Elder C. Dale Kaylor officiating.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Alice Anne Kimbrough was born November 19, 1932 at Verden, Oklahoma, the daughter of Frank Marion and Alice Victoria Shields. She moved to Carlsbad with her family in June of 1947. Alice married Glen Kimbrough on June 11, 1955. She was a baptized, active member of the congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses since 1957. Alice enjoyed very much the Bible teaching work that Jesus Christ commissioned his followers to do. Her faith and hope were in God's promise of everlasting life through exercising faith in Jesus. She was preceded in death by a son, Billy Wayne Stockton; her parents; brother, Roy A. Shields; sister, Josie L. Shields Henderson and step-grandson, David Coleman Stockton.
She is survived by her husband, Glen of the home; son, Jimmy Duane Stockton and his wife, George Anne; daughter, Connie Susanne Kimbrough Calderon and husband, A. C. all of Carlsbad, NM; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Two of her grandsons, Jeremiah and Jonathan Calderon will serve as honorary pallbearers.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and a loyal friend. We will miss her very much.
