Agustina G. Tovar, 94, of Howard Road, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Landsun Health Services Center. Visitation will be 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Prayer Service is scheduled for Wednesday, November 6, 2013, 6:00 PM at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, November 7, 2013, 10:00 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Saul Rocha officiating. Interment will follow in Santa Catarina Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Agustina G. Tovar was born February 15, 1919 in Mariposa, Texas to Crispin and Eduarda (Hernandez) Gaiton. She married Domingo Tovar in 1932. Agustina enjoyed cooking, sewing and quilting. She was a member of the Apostolic Assembly Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Domingo Tovar; son, Benny Tovar; granddaughter, Lorena Tovar; 2 great-grandsons and 6 sisters. Survivors are three daughters: Minnie Rojas of Carlsbad, NM, Maria Bojorquez and husband, Miguel of Arlington, TX, Adela Torres and husband, Ernesto of Carlsbad, NM; three sons: Frank Tovar of Mammoth, AZ, Pete Tovar and wife, Lucy of Carlsbad, NM, Lupe Tovar and wife, Corina of Superior, AZ; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Lorenzo Rojas, Chris Rojas, Omar Bojorquez, Jonathan Torres, Ryan Abernathy, Justin Abernathy, Chris Ortega, Benito Ortega and M. J. Dorado.
